Vero West was born out of the construction expertise of Ghilotti Bros., Inc.. GBI was established in 1914 by Italian immigrant and masonry expert, James Ghilotti, who settled in San Rafael, California. Today, GBI remains a family-owned business, having completed more than 2,500 projects and employing over 280 team members in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Vero West’s philosophy, articulated by James Ghilotti, is: “Earn respect by doing a job well, treat employees with courtesy and respect, and do good work for the community in which you live and work.”
